IThanks to your donations, our local Red Cross sets-up shelters, provides emotional support to those affected by disaster, and keeps our local residents safe and sound.
In 2009 your donor dollars made a difference in thousands of lives:

20,287 residents of two counties reached through our programs and services.

14,269 trained in health and safety, such as CPR and water safety.

2,296 people trained in emergency preparedness skills.

over 300 military families and service members assisted at no cost.

82 families assisted in rebuilding lives after an emergency.
Your local Red Cross also provides:

Service to members of the Armed Forces and their families at no cost to them

Certified Nurse Assistant Training

Health and Safety Classes, such as CPR and First Aid

Vamos a Nadar, a bilingual water safety and swim program at no cost to participants.
Like all Red Cross chapters, our Chapter is self-sustaining and receives no funding for local disasters from the national organization and minimal funding from government agencies. Our Chapter receives no support from the United Way.
